What's the Point of Another Health Blog?

I originally started my Instagram page, @stevenraywarren, so I could have a place to share pictures of my Bulletproof Coffee without bothering the followers on my “personal” account. I knew they didn’t care and I wanted to connect with people who did care. Other high-fat, cognitively functioning, primal living eaters who got fired up every morning to brew a beautiful cup of KICKASS. I wanted to connect with like-minded people!
After posting for some time and building real connections with real people over Instagram (which is so cool. Shoutouts to the Internet) I had the thought to start a blog. Blogging is hot nowadays. Everybody has a “link in my bio” to their newest recipe where you can also buy their e-book. No problem with that, especially if they’re providing real value for people and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. That’s how the world ultimately becomes a better place. But that led me to think “Nah, why does the Internet need another health blog? And why should it have to be me? There’s no money in it and there’s already so much info out there. Why bother?”
But after some deep thought while watching Straight Outta Compton I realized why I need to start a health blog. If I have valuable information that can truly help people be better, do better, feel better, it is my duty as a human being to share that info. I believe that to be true for all of us…if you have a passion and know your stuff, share it with people!
I understand that in order for the world to change, we, as individuals, have to change. One by one. I’m not expecting or intending to have the most viewed blog in the world – I’m not doing this for money or promotion or for a lot of views. I’m doing this for the community. I write and share so that hopefully even one person finds my information valuable. That one person can take a point I shared, get inspired, domino effect starts to happen in their life, and they create the next best podcast, or YouTube channel, or best selling health book that inspires the world. Or, on a smaller scale, that one person might introduce something I shared about healthy sugar alternatives with their aunt who is pre-diabetic and help reverse it. That person might be you! (Btw, for that, I’m grateful that you take the time to read what I put out) One by one, the world will ultimately change for the better…if we each do out part! I believe this is one form of me doing my part.
